For MSMEs worldwide, 2020 has been a tough year. Budget 2021 was directed to resolve their outstanding issues. While the export-import community welcomed most of the Budget 2021 announcements, the Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO) has asked the government to relook at provisions such as those allowing confiscating of goods for wrongful claims as they might hurt overall exports.

On the other hand, with the Foreign Trade Policy due in the coming months, industry stakeholders have sought incentives for the SEZs, a boost for e-commerce exports, etc among others to promote overall exports originating from India.
